DIONISIO
AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE
The Dionisio Awards are
given in recognition of outstanding
accomplishments in developing and
promoting Latino theatre throughout
the world.
AWARD 2007
TEATRO DE LOS ANDES
“We
founded Teatro de Los Andes in 1991.
We propose to become actor-poets: creators
and doers. We seek to create a theatre
based on humor and memory, looking for
a new audience for the theatre, and
a new theatre for the audience. And
so it is our relationship to the audience
that determines our work.”
Among
many other cities and festivals, Teatro
de los Andes has been successfully showcased
in La Paz, Santiago de Chile, Río
de Janeiro, Londrina, Belo Horizonte,
Manizales, Bogotá, Buenos Aires,
Milán, Bérgamo, Palermo,
Biarritz, Grenoble,
Bayonne, Toulouse, Paris, Runlingen,
Cádiz, Madrid, Lisboa, New York,
La Habana,
San Juan de Puerto Rico and Caracas.
